Clinical Reflexology

Clinical reflexology is more than a foot massage. Based on a knowledge of anatomy and physiology, it focusses on engaging your central nervous system.

An evidence-based, complementary therapy, reflexology works by applying gentle pressure to reflex points on the feet that relate to glands, organs and systems within the body. Engaging the central nervous system helps to relieve stress and provide support to your body’s natural inclination to regulate and restore itself. Reflexology can also be helpful in supporting circulation and lymphatic flow.

Relaxation Massage focusses on your fascia, and is a treatment designed to relax and soothe, rather than to relieve chronic pain or other underlying conditions.

Due to its gentle nature, it has a calming effect on the nervous system – reducing stress and pain and promoting a healing environment within the body.

The only downside of a relaxation treatment is when you have to immediately step back into the world.
So why not have a lovely rest first?

The Resting Space is right next door to The Relaxation Room, and you can add a stay (long or short) onto your reflexology or massage treatment.

You don’t need to do anything – just book in and enjoy your treatment. I’ll keep track and let you know when your free treatment is available.

Reflexology: I had looked forward to my first Reflexology session with Dee and I wasn’t disappointed. She was professional, but friendly and I felt completely at ease. Starting the session with three deep breaths encouraged me to relax, a state which stayed with me throughout. Having warm socks put back on my feet at the end was a lovely caring touch. Great treatment in a fabulous atmosphere! With severe illness ongoing for 3 weeks (with ED visits due to dizziness, headaches and blood pressure issues) a friend recommended Reflexology to get to the root of the problems. I was skeptical when Dee suggested the transverse colon and cervical spine were sensitive spots. A week later and after a visit to an Osteopath as well it turned out to be just that! Have been a regular for a full body relaxation massage that leaves you feeling like you are floating on a cloud. Now there is an option that takes this to the next level with Reiki / massage combo. Depending on what your body needs you may feel relaxed, but more aware, with a burst of energy or another time it will be a deep, peaceful calm that lasts for days. You can continue working, but then return to a calm state more readily. Thanks Dee for keeping me balanced

One of my favourite things to do each week…… I love nothing better than to finish my week with a wee break from the world with Dee. I have two treatment faves, if I feel like total bliss and relaxation I opt for a full body relaxation massage, but if I have had a really hectic, chaotic or stressful week I like the Rieki/Massage combo. I love the combination of the relaxed feeling but it also calms my mind leaving me feeling grounded or Zenlike. I always feel incredibly calm for hours afterward.
